Battery Management System Victron VE.Bus BMS NG

The VE.Bus BMS NG is a comprehensive battery management system (BMS) for Victron Lithium NG batteries (not compatible with Lithium Battery Smart batteries) designed for systems with Victron inverters or inverters/chargers with VE.Bus communication. It monitors and protects the batteries against overvoltage and undervoltage of each individual cell as well as against overtemperature and undertemperature.

Thanks to integrated Bluetooth, the BMS enables central monitoring via VictronConnect. The BMS determines all important parameters such as voltage, current, state of charge and individual cell data directly from the battery, eliminating the need for a separate SmartShunt.

The lithium-NG batteries can be configured in series, parallel or a combination of both and support 12 V, 24 V and 48 V systems. A maximum of 50 batteries can be used in 12 V or 24 V banks and 25 batteries in 48 V banks, allowing storage of up to 192 kWh (12 V), 384 kWh (24 V) and 128 kWh (48 V). Multiple Lynx Smart BMS devices can be connected in parallel to expand capacity and provide redundancy.

Main features:

• Bluetooth Smart: The VE.Bus BMS NG includes Bluetooth Smart for wireless configuration, monitoring and firmware updates via the VictronConnect app. The Instant Readout displays important data such as SoC, battery temperature, warnings and alarms directly in the device list without the need to connect.
• Load disconnect output: Controls the input for remotely switching on/off a BatteryProtect, inverter, DC-DC converter or other loads with remote switching function to prevent deep discharge.
• Load disconnect output: Controls the connection to switch on/off chargers such as the Smart IP43 charger, a Cyrix-Li-Charge relay, a Cyrix-Li-ct battery coupler or a BatteryProtect to prevent overvoltage.
• Pre-alarm output: Provides an early warning of low battery voltage before loads are switched off. Can control a relay, LED or audible alarm.
• Remote on/off control: Enables external control of load and charge disconnect outputs.
• LED indicators: Includes a blue LED for Bluetooth status and a red LED for warnings and errors.
